• The talk describes how aspheric optical surfaces can be efficiently characterized using tactile profilometry – from simple linear scans through spatial analysis to complete 3D evaluation. By precisely capturing surface form deviations, manufacturing defects become visible at an early stage and can be corrected in a targeted manner. From the measurement data, parameters such as astigmatism and other Zernike polynomials can be derived. The result: higher process reliability and consistently high optical quality.
